The Kereliott cottage is a renovated fisherman’s house located at 10 Allée des Marronniers in Lézardrieux, in the heart of the Trégor peninsula, within the Côtes-d’Armor department (22) in northern Brittany. Classified as a three-star Meublé de Tourisme, it can accommodate up to four people and provides direct access to the GR34 coastal footpath. The cottage is close to the marina, essential shops, village restaurants, and an electric-vehicle charging station.

The accommodation includes two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a wood stove, and fibre-optic Internet access. The enclosed garden, patio, and terraces provide independent outdoor spaces. Facilities for families, board games, books in several languages, and a connected television are available.

The geographical setting offers convenient access to beaches, water-based activities, hiking trails, and heritage sites of the Trégor region, such as the Sillon de Talbert, the Domaine de la Roche-Jagu, or the Abbaye de Beauport. The cottage is also a suitable starting point for visiting Paimpol, Tréguier, Pontrieux, or Lannion, as well as for attending cultural festivals in the area.

Kereliott implements measures to reduce its environmental impact, including optimised energy consumption, the use of efficient appliances, waste sorting, composting, and water-saving devices. A bilingual visitor guide provides practical information and recommendations for a responsible stay.

Why is the cottage called Kereliott?

The name “Kereliott” means “Eliott’s home” in Breton. Eliott is the name of the owners’ son.

Why choose the Lézardrieux peninsula for a stay in Brittany?

The Lézardrieux peninsula, also known as the “Wild Peninsula,” is characterised by its preserved natural environment. It offers a quiet, uncrowded setting, suitable for hiking, cycling, and discovering an unspoiled coastline.

What is the maximum occupancy of the Kereliott cottage?

Kereliott can accommodate up to four people. It has two bedrooms, each equipped with a double bed. All household equipment — tableware, bedding, furniture, and appliances — is dimensioned for four occupants in accordance with the inventory available in the property.

Is the cottage officially classified as a Meublé de Tourisme?

Yes. The Kereliott cottage has been classified as a three-star Meublé de Tourisme since November 2025. This classification was granted by an accredited organisation according to national criteria relating to equipment, comfort, quality of installations, room surfaces, and the immediate environment.

How is the cottage laid out?

The cottage is arranged over two levels.
The ground floor includes a living–dining room, an independent kitchen, and a toilet.
The upper floor contains two bedrooms and a bathroom with a toilet.
Outdoors, the cottage features a patio and two terraces within a fenced garden.

What equipment is included in the rental?

The cottage provides all necessary amenities for an autonomous stay, including:
– a fully equipped kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, complete cookware, tableware for four people, and various utensils);
– a washing machine, cleaning equipment and storage;
– a living room equipped with a television, Internet connection, wood stove, and board games;
– full bedding for two double beds, including additional duvets and pillows;
– outdoor furniture and equipment, including a barbecue and two terrace areas.
A detailed inventory is available on site.

Is the cottage suitable for families with children?

Yes. The cottage offers a travel cot, a high chair, adapted tableware, and safety features such as socket protectors. The fenced garden provides a secure outdoor space.
Use of the wood stove is not recommended in the presence of children, as it is not protected.

Where exactly is the cottage located in Lézardrieux?

Kereliott is located at 10 Allée des Marronniers, in a quiet one-way street. It is situated between the marina and the village centre, allowing easy access on foot to shops, restaurants, and essential services.

How far is the cottage from the port?

The Lézardrieux marina is approximately 200 metres from the cottage, a three-minute walk.

Which shops and restaurants are close to the cottage?

Restaurants: Le Chaudron Gourmand de Yaya (30 m), Lez ar Dreo crêperie (300 m), San Angelo pizzeria (400 m), Auberge du Trieux (450 m).

Is the cottage close to the GR34 coastal footpath?

Yes. The GR34 coastal path passes directly in front of the cottage, providing immediate access to coastal hiking routes.

Which beaches are accessible from the cottage?

Several beaches are accessible on foot:
– Donan Beach (Grève des Craclais), approx. 650 m
– Lézardrieux Beach (Traou Treiz), approx. 650 m
– Grève des Perdrix, 1.7 km
– Grève de Kermarquer, 1.7 km
Other beaches — including those near Pleubian, Kerbors, Trédrez-Locquémeau or the Pink Granite Coast — are reachable by car.

Where can guests park near the cottage?

Parking is free around the cottage. Small vehicles can park alongside the house. Larger vehicles can park in the street in front of the cottage or in the marina car park, approximately 100 metres away (a one-minute walk). An electric vehicle charging station is available in the same car park.

Is parking free in the area?

Yes. Parking is free throughout the commune of Lézardrieux.

Is the cottage accessible by public transport?

Yes. BreizhGo bus lines 225 and 227 connect Lézardrieux with Paimpol and Lannion (via Tréguier). The nearest stop is “Port,” about 50 metres from the cottage.

How can one travel to the island of Bréhat from the cottage?

There are two departure points:
– Lézardrieux marina, served from April to October by the Passeur du Trieux;
– Pointe de l’Arcouest in Ploubazlanec (20 minutes by car), with a 10-minute crossing operated year-round by Vedettes de Bréhat and seasonally by Sur Mer Bréhat.

Does the cottage have high-speed Internet?

Yes. The cottage is equipped with fibre-optic broadband and Wi-Fi.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes. The kitchen includes a hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, full cookware, tableware for four people, and other utensils.

Are bed linen and towels provided?

Yes. Bed linen, towels, and bedding are provided. Beds are prepared before guests arrive.

Is end-of-stay cleaning included?

Yes. End-of-stay cleaning is included. Guests are asked to remove the bed linen and place it in the bathroom before departure.

How can one book a stay at Kereliott?

Bookings are currently made via Airbnb or Booking.com. Additional booking options are under consideration.

Is the cottage suitable for business stays or remote work?

Yes. The cottage is suitable for professional stays, with high-speed Internet, a dedicated workspace in one bedroom, and a coworking facility (Lézard’Ty CO) located about 450 metres away.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation conditions follow those of Airbnb or Booking.com, depending on the platform and the chosen rate.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes. The minimum stay is three nights throughout the year.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. and check-out until 10:00 a.m. Early arrivals or late departures may be possible depending on availability. Access to the cottage is via a key safe.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. One pet is allowed per stay. Guests must provide the animal’s bedding, ensure it does not access the upper floor or the furniture, avoid leaving it alone in the house, keep the garden clean, and vacuum before departure. Any issue must be reported to the owners.

Is smoking permitted inside the cottage?

No. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage.

Does the cottage have outdoor spaces?

Yes. The cottage has a fenced garden, a patio, and two terraces accessible from the ground floor.

What outdoor furniture is available?

Available equipment includes a garden table with four chairs, a metal café table with two chairs, two deckchairs, a small outdoor table, and a parasol.

Is there a barbecue?

Yes. A charcoal barbecue is available, along with utensils and ignition materials.

Are beach toys or equipment provided?

Yes. Rackets and various beach toys are available in summer.

What board games and leisure activities are available?

The cottage provides board games suitable for all ages, including card games (Uno, Memory), board games (Checkers, Labyrinth), puzzles, and other family games.

What books or reading materials are available?

A library is available with regional cookbooks, novels, Breton tales and legends, comic books, and tourist brochures. Books are provided in French, English, and German and are regularly updated.

Does the cottage have a smart TV or streaming services?

Yes. The cottage has a 50-inch OLED smart TV with access to Free TV, Alexa, Google Play, and Apple TV.

Does the cottage have a wood stove? How does it work?

Yes. A wood stove is installed in the living room. Firewood is not provided, but it can be purchased at the village supermarket. The stove must be used with caution, especially in the presence of children.

Is the cottage equipped with smoke detection?

Yes. The property is equipped with a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher located in the cupboard under the stairs.

Is heating included in the rental price?

Yes. Electric heating is included. The cottage is equipped with a smart meter, and excessive consumption may incur additional charges.

What activities are available in Lézardrieux?

Activities include diving, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking on the GR34 or the Tro Breiz, and cycling on the Vélomaritime route no. 5.

Can guests rent a boat nearby?

Yes. Several companies located at the marina offer boat rentals, with or without a skipper.

What natural or heritage sites are located near the cottage?

Nearby sites include the River Trieux and its Natura 2000 estuary, the protected Sillon de Talbert nature reserve, and the Château de la Roche-Jagu with its 64 hectares of gardens classified as “Remarkable Gardens.”

Which festivals and events attract visitors to the region?

Yes. The festival is less than ten minutes away by car. Early booking is recommended due to high demand.

Nearby places of interest include Paimpol, known for its harbour and the Abbaye de Beauport; Pontrieux, the “Little Venice of Trégor,” with its washhouses and timber-framed houses; Tréguier, the historical capital of Trégor, with its Gothic cathedral and cloisters; and farther away, Lannion and Guingamp, both noted for their architectural heritage.

Does the cottage implement measures to reduce energy consumption?

Yes. The cottage uses low-consumption and LED bulbs, as well as energy-efficient appliances rated A++ or A+. Renovation work in 2025 and 2026 aims to reduce energy use further, including installing a wood stove, replacing roof windows, improving insulation, and using a green-energy supplier.

Does the property have a system to monitor electricity consumption?

Yes. A smart electricity meter provides real-time monitoring. A connected thermostat is planned for installation in 2026. Also, our electricity is supplied by EDF's Vert Électrique, which comes from 100% renewable energy sources.

Does the wood stove comply with environmental standards?

Yes. The stove is certified “Flamme Verte” and has an efficiency above 87 %, in line with environmental performance standards for wood-burning appliances.

Are water-saving devices installed in the cottage?

Yes. The taps and shower are fitted with flow reducers to limit water consumption.

Does the cottage provide recycling facilities?

Yes. The cottage includes recycling facilities and a composting system for organic waste.

Are the cleaning products eco-friendly?

Yes. As far as possible, the provided cleaning products are ecological or certified.

Are there facilities nearby supporting sustainable mobility?

Yes. An electric vehicle charging point is located in the marina car park, approximately 100 metres from the cottage.

Are sustainability guidelines provided to guests?

Yes. Environmental recommendations are available on the cottage website and in the bilingual visitor guide (French/English).
